THE IBERDROLA FOUNDATION LAUNCHES ITS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME TO STUDY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO
Within the Framework of the Prince of Asturias Chair, sponsored by Iberdrola
- The recipients will be able to take a PhD at the universitys Electrical and Computer Engineering School
- IBERDROLA currently collaborates with over 20 universities and business schools as part of its commitment to cultivating high quality training
The IBERDROLA Foundation will award three scholarships to Spanish students wishing to further their studies at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.
The chosen students will be able to take a PhD at the universitys Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. The scholarships cover tuition, medical insurance and a monthly living allowance of $1,400.
Those interested must submit their applications by 7 September along with their CV, educational qualifications, certificate of aptitude in English (TOEFL or equivalent) and a covering letter explaining why they want to study in New Mexico.

This scholarship programme is part of the agreement between the IBERDROLA Foundation and the University of New Mexico to sponsor the Prince of Asturias Chair. The aim of this Chair, created in 2004, is to foster the development of research in the field of IT and telecommunications to prepare a new generation of scientists.
